A new facility is opening to help train new law enforcement recruits.
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) was scheduled to host a ribbon cutting ceremony at the $34 million strength and conditioning complex at its flagship facility in Glynco, Georgia.
FLETC received $750 million in the 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act, with $465 million of that earmarked for infrastructure and facility improvements.
FLETC graduated 70,485 law enforcement officers and agents in the past year and averages about 5,600 trainees across its four training sites daily.
The new facility aligns with FLETC's mission to provide training infrastructure that supports the physical fitness and readiness requirements of federal law enforcement officers.
FLETC is the primary interagency law enforcement training academy in the U.S. Recruits and officers from over 105 federal agencies as well as state, local, tribal, and international partners, are sent to FLETC for both foundational and specialized instruction.
