A Day at FEEA? All About Feds.

The FEDforum is brought to you by WAEPA, the life insurance choice of over 46,000 Feds and their families.

The prompt for this round of the FEDforum is: What is a day in the life for a member of your organization? This week, hear from Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund (FEEA).

What’s happening at FEEA is what’s happening to feds, both in- and outside of work. While our emergency assistance, disaster relief, and scholarship programs address specific needs feds may have, our #FedLifeHacks program – launched two years ago – tackles the everyday issues feds and their families face. The program includes a collection of lifehacks – practical and adaptable knowledge and strategies that can help improve daily life – in written and video format, developed by FEEA and others, covering topics like financial wellness, health & wellness, education & professional growth, family, free time & fun, and personal philanthropy & volunteerism.

Given the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund’s (FEEA) extensive experience working directly with federal families on all aspects and at all stages of their lives, we have a unique understanding of where feds can use more easy-to-understand, unbiased information on things affecting them outside of work. Some of our best suggestions come from conversations we have with federal employees every day.

Since the program was launched, we have had over 110,000 visits to our #FedLifeHacks resources. We’ve covered more than 50 topics so far, all of which can be accessed at here.

Here are some of the topics we’ve covered most recently:

We are always adding new #hacks, as well as links to additional outside information we think might be helpful to feds. Visit our #FedLifeHacks page for links to all our categories, check out our News page for recent posts, or subscribe to our newsletter to always get the latest in your inbox.

FEEA thanks WAEPA, the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program, Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employee Program, Eargo, GEBA, Debt.com, and Starr Wright Insurance for supporting the #FedLifeHacks program.

This column from Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund (FEEA) is part of the FEDforum, an initiative to unite voices across the federal community. The FEDforum is a space for federal employee and law enforcement groups to share their organizations’ initiatives and activities with the FEDagent audience.
