A police officer in Washington state has gone viral because of the unique way he is connecting with the community. Bellevue police officer Craig Hanaumi’s reputation started nearly seven years ago, when he got a call to break up a group of skateboarders trespassing in a parking lot. When he arrived on the scene, Hanaumi took the chance to practice a couple tricks with the teenagers before escorting them out of the parking lot. Learn more about the officer and how he is using his natural talents to build a better relationship with his community in this short video from Fox News.

Then, head over to his popular Instagram page for videos and photos of the skateboarding police officer coasting in uniform, playing the ukulele with a kid, playing trombone with the Bellevue Presbyterian Trombone Choir, teaching self-defense and jujitsu, and often flashing a Hawaiian “hang loose” hand at the camera. One viral video shows him on duty, responding to a call.
