Are These 20 ‘Best in Class’ Buzzwords from 2018 a ‘Value Add’ for your Organization?

Most federal employees are no doubt accustomed to a flurry of buzzwords accompanying most meetings and professional events. But Grant Thornton, the major advisory firm based in Chicago, took it a step further, endeavoring to index the top buzzwords of 2018, thus far.

The company analyzed the language used in the promotional materials and on the social networks of Fortune 500 companies and journalists covering the business beat.

With more than 71,000 uses in the first three months of 2018, “best in class” is the leading buzzword of the year, followed by “value add,” “game changer,” “action plan,” and “on the same page,” rounding out the top five.
