National Law Enforcement Museum Grand Opening

We at Federal Employee Defense Services are excited that the Grand Opening of the National Law Enforcement Museum is less than one month away! The long-awaited opening of the museum is Saturday, October 13, 2018. The museum features the history of American law enforcement, with unique experiences that allow visitors to experience the life of an officer. Visitors can also take part in solving a crime in the interactive Take the Case exhibit.

20/20 Hindsight

The California wildfires are wreaking havoc among Californians’ houses, businesses, and schools.  California’s largest wildfire in state history is all consuming with tough decisions being made each minute to contain the fire and deter further destruction. With disasters such as this, investigations may follow and allegations may be made. Each decision may be scrutinized, with 20/20 hindsight, to determine if something else could or should have been done to hinder the damage and if the right decisions were made at the time. Agencies may come under fire as well as those individuals involved in making those pressured minute to minute decisions.

The Counterfeit Report

Did you know that counterfeiters will produce $1.7 trillion in fake products worldwide this year?  The Counterfeit Report received an International Media Award last month for warning the public about the omnipresence of counterfeit goods. The website, which was created by a retired law enforcement officer, alerts consumers about fake products and helps law enforcement investigators spot these goods during investigations.
