This Week on FEDtalk: Carefully Planning Retirement & Health Costs

It’s never too early to research and plan your retirement–including the possibility of a need for long term care. This week, we're giving you the insider tips on retiring like a pro, plus why you should consider adding long term care to your benefits package.

We begin the show with a conversation about how you can avert the five most common mistakes federal employees make when planning their retirement, as told by the experts at Livingston Federal Employee Retirement Planning.

In the second half of the show, we switch gears and talk to WAEPA about their long term care insurance packages. According to a Department of Health and Human Services report, 70 percent of people who reach age 65 will need some LTC at some point during their lifetime, so knowing your options and planning ahead will set up your future self for success.
